I’m Amanda, a homeschooling mama of three. I’m starting Learning by the Brook to share inspiration, resources, and share our homeschooling journey with others.
Before I started this chapter of life, I was a public school Spanish teacher at the same high school I attended years before. I absolutely loved everything about my job and poured my heart and soul into my students. My colleagues were some of my best friends, I volunteered for all the committees, and I worked long hours to earn a National Board Certification. Never in a million years did I think that my life would take a turn into homeschooling – but I am so thankful that it did.
Homeschooling has opened so many doors for our family, and I am so excited to share the blessings that it has brought to us with all of you. From gardening to baking, crafting to finding educational resources, I’m hoping that this will be a place to share tips, information and helpful encouragement for other moms.
